Welcome

to The Calcutta School of Music

The school is a "one stop" destination for anything and everything related to Music and Performing Arts providing instruction in musical subjects on one hand as well as arranging concerts, master classes, workshops and appreciation sessions throughout the year. World famous musicians like Yehudi Menuhin, Zubin Mehta, Isaac Stern, Mstislav Rostropovich and Pt. Ravi Shankar have performed at concerts organised by the School at our very own city of Kolkata and some have visited the institution as well.

EXAMINATIONS

Examinations conducted by two International Boards:
•Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM)
•Trinity College London (TCL)

Orchestra

The Calcutta School of Music financially supports a full time orchestra, the Calcutta Chamber Orchestra (CCO), made up of a full fledged string ensemble of professional musicians.

Music Library

To learn music properly it is imperative that the student spends sufficient time listening to and witnessing quality performances. There are opportunities for students to listen to audio performances.

Facilities

Trained and qualified teachers, Air-conditioned classrooms and waiting areas, Air-conditioned auditorium, CCTV surveillance, Quality musical instruments, Pantry facilities, Filtered drinking water.
