I’ve known the CSM forever—in various capacities—as a geegosh member of the audience for its concerts, when I was in Loreto, then much later as a member of the Governing Committee, and then, as an adult student of this School, when the then Principal, Mrs. Chowna, took me on. Wonderful coincidence that her able student, Arup Mitra became my teacher with his admixture of patience and sense of humour and his performances—particularly the Mendelssohn concert. There’s so much to be derived from the School—the concerts, master classes, listeners club—it is an integral part of my musical life. Its been a great journey, too researching its history—but that is another story!
